Privacy Policy

Marque is an Android app published on Google Play by DesignClub™. It shows you a short phrase every day, from a preset theme or one you describe yourself. This page explains what data the app collects, why, and what it doesn't collect at all.

There's no account

You never sign up, log in, or give us a name or email to use the app. Your phrase history, theme choice, and notification schedule are stored only on your device (in the app's local database) and are never uploaded anywhere.

What we collect, and why

• Custom theme text. If you describe your own theme instead of picking a preset, that text is sent to our AI provider (Groq) to generate your phrases. We don't store the text itself on our servers — only its length, to understand how the feature is used.
• Anonymous usage events. The app records a small set of events — for example, that a custom batch was requested, that a fallback phrase was served, or that the app crashed — tagged with a random identifier generated on your device at install time. This identifier isn't linked to your name, email, or device (it's not your Android ID or any hardware identifier), and it resets if you uninstall and reinstall the app.
• Crash details. If the app crashes, we record the type of error, its message, and a technical stack trace, so we can fix the bug. This is code-level information, not personal content.
• Basic connection data. Like any app server, ours briefly sees your IP address on each request, used only to prevent abuse (rate limiting). We don't store IP addresses ourselves.

What we don't collect

• No accounts, passwords, names, or email addresses
• No location, contacts, photos, or files (aside from a phrase-card image you explicitly choose to save, which is written to your device — we never read your existing photos)
• No advertising, no ad identifiers, no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs

Who we share data with

Two service providers, both acting only on our behalf to run the app:

• Groq — processes custom theme text to generate phrases.
• Cloudflare — hosts our backend and database (Workers, D1).

We don't sell data or share it with anyone for advertising or marketing.

Permissions the app requests

• Notifications — to show your daily phrase reminder locally on your device.
• Photos/storage (older Android versions only) — used solely to save a phrase card image you choose to download.

Children's privacy

Marque isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

Your choices

Because there's no account, there's no personal profile to delete. If you have a question about data tied to your install, or anything else in this policy, contact us and we'll help.

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
